Resources

It's unlikely that most participants will have a professional pageant coach, so we compiled these resources to help you do your absolute best in the pageant. The best thing you can do to prepare is to practice, practice, and practice!

TV and Movies
King of the Crown - TV show that follows a pageant coach's business and lets you be a fly on the wall for his company's coaching sessions.
Pageant - Follows the stories of several participants in the Miss Gay America Pageant.
Trantasia - Behind the scenes look at a Las Vegas pageant for transwomen.

Practice Questions

Keep in mind that these resources are largely or entirely aimed at adults. As a Little, contestants in the International Little Miss & Mister Little Pageant will face different challenges and some of this information, like how to walk in heels, will be irrelevant, but it is a good starting place!

Official Pageant Theme Announcement: Sugar Plum Dreams

This year, for the first time, we have decided to theme the pageant! This means that contestants will be asked, but not required, to keep their dress and performances in keeping with the theme Sugar Plum Dreams.

What does that mean precisely? Nutcrackers, ballet, winter holidays, and candy! The theme was chosen specifically in light of the popularity of the movie Frozen, so anything Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, or Olaf-themed is encouraged as well.

We will also be adding decorative elements to the stage which will enhance the theme, but not interfere with pageant walks or talent performances. Volunteers who can help with that are very much appreciated!

Location: SF Citadel at 181 Eddy St., San Francisco, CA

Description:

We are bringing the City of Light to the Dungeon with a Paris-themed play party. Decadent food, candlelight, sensual liaisons, and your energy will create an environment of intrigue and fun.

It's a great chance to dress up for the dungeon, too! Take fashion cues from French movies, Moulin Rouge, burlesque, can can dancers, French maids, or dress in your finest as if you were out for a night in Paris. Maybe dress in nothing at all. Normal dungeon attire is perfectly acceptable, too. Come however makes you feel comfortable and puts you in the mood for a fun time full of play and friends.

We’ll supply the ambiance with a unique, Parisian-inspired soundtrack, as well as plenty of great food and mocktails. Have a new affair with someone you meet that night, or create some magic with your partner. Meet new friends and socialize before and after your play.

Like any other open event, there is lots of equipment and dungeon space for you to have your scenes and play time. SoJ members and other community veterans will also be on hand if you are new and have questions about kink or the community, and we always have a great time meeting people and making new friends. We'd love to tell you more about our organization and what we do if you are interested. We can even help you out if you want to learn a few new skills. We always strive for a fun, inclusive, welcoming environment. All in all, this will be a great party to interact with others of the community.

Third Annual Little Miss/Mister Little Pageant has gone international!

We are excited to announce that San Francisco's Dark Odyssey: Surrender has purchased the rights to the International Little Miss/Mister Little Pageant! That means that other Little Miss/Mister Little Pageants are eligible to turn into feeder pageants and send their local champions to compete. (Please contact us if you are interested in starting a local Pageant or if you would like to announce your region's candidate.)

We've also successfully petitioned to have Little Miss Little and Little Mister Little made official Leather Titles! This means that the Title Holders will sport official leather patches, and also that our Pageant will now be more focused on community-building and charity work, requiring each contestant to have a platform.

The Pageant is still evolving and we welcome community input and volunteers. If you have any questions or concerns, we invite you to make them known. Please follow us here for news and information.

Sincerely,
Penny Barber
Head Judge
